Aaron O'Connor

Biography

I have been playing music for upwards of 10 years now, and currently study instrumental education and jazz at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Leading up to this point, I have gained experience leading bands, composing and arranging, booking, teaching, and playing instruments in the twin cities area. I have spent the past few years of my life studying advanced harmony, as well as teaching pedagogy. Through different ensembles such as pit orchestras, jazz combos, big bands, contemporary groups, marching band, pop bands, and many more, I have learned to own my musical skills and grow within the environment I'm in. My goal is to pass on my love and interest for music onto the next generation of students.
